Puja Magazine : Call for submission of Articles
Dear Friends!
On the occasion of 2008 Durga Puja, NVBA has decided to bring out its annual literary magazine. In addition to literary and/or artistic contributions from community members, the magazine will endeavor to include work of well known and rising literary figures from the Bengali community in North America and West Bengal. Articles in either typed or handwritten form will be accepted provided the handwriting is legible. Articles in Bengali are encouraged but not mandatory. English or Bengali entries from young and first-generation members are highly encouraged.
If you are interested to submit a literary piece or an artistic work, please send it to us no later than September 10, 2008.
Suggested size:
- Poetry – one printed page(max)
- Story, essay, journal entry, creative nonfiction or memoir-2000 words.Please mail a hard copy of your contribution to:

Call for : Personal Greetings Announcement for Puja Magazine
Dear Friends!
As you are aware we are going to publish the annual NVBA Puja Sankha during Durga Puja 2008. The objectives of the magazine , inter - alia , are to cultivate literary & creative skills , raise funds and give an opportunity to introduce the NVBA members to the readers though writings and personal greetings.
Like last year we would like to encourage Personal/Family greetings from members. It is a 1/4 (Quarter) page or 1/2 page greeting either in Bengali or English (your choice) for a reasonable rate of $25.00 or $50.00.
We would highly appreciate if you extend your helping hand by inserting a half/quarter page greetings in your preferred language (either English or bengali) .
